The Tasks tab shows a project's tasks organized into task groups (Sales, Design, Accounting, and so on), each with a live completion count, so you can see exactly what's done and what's outstanding — and act on any task without leaving the project.

Project Tasks grouped by task group, each showing a completion count.
Tasks are organized into collapsible task groups that mirror the project's workflow (Sales, Design, Accounting, Inspections, and more). Each group header shows a completion summary — a green check with "N of N Complete" when finished, or a count of what's left. Use Expand All to open every group, or click a header to expand/collapse just one. Groups with outstanding work expand automatically so the next actions are front and center.

The status filter — narrow tasks to Blocked, Pending, Completed, or Archived.
The search box filters tasks by name across all groups as you type. The status dropdown narrows the list to a single state — Blocked (waiting on a dependency), Pending (ready to work on), Completed, or Archived — and groups expand automatically to reveal matches.
Each task has a checkbox: ticking it marks the task complete (and records who completed it); un-ticking reopens it. If a task still has required fields or files outstanding, Sunrise blocks completion and tells you what's missing. Completing a blocked task asks for confirmation first.
Click Create Task to open the dialog. Choose a Template to auto-fill the task Name, Task Group, and assignee — and to pull in any required-to-create fields for that template; or pick "None Selected" to fill everything in manually. Set the Assigned to (user or team) and Due Date, then Submit.
