ℹ️ Draft for the Proposal Tool Wiki. I couldn't write directly into the Proposal Tool Wiki database because the Notion connector isn't shared on the Freedom Power — Learn teamspace. Move this page into that wiki (or connect the integration and it can be recreated in place).

🛡️ Overview

The Tier 2 COI Invoice is a post-sale document that appears on the Documents tab for certain Florida deals. When a system in the Orlando or Tampa region is 11.75 kW or larger, the utility requires a Tier 2 Certificate of Insurance (COI) showing at least $1M in coverage before the system can be installed. After the deal is closed, the Documents tab shows a banner prompting you to upload the Tier 2 COI Invoice.

💡 This document is different from the rest of the tab: it is not required to close the deal, and it only appears after the deal is closed.

📍 When It Appears

The banner shows on the Documents tab only when all of these are true:

If any of these isn't true, the banner doesn't appear. While the deal is still open you'll instead see the pre-sale Tier 2 warning in the builder.

⬆️ Uploading the Invoice

  1. Open the closed proposal and select the Documents tab.
  2. At the top, find the orange Tier 2 COI Invoice Required banner.
  3. Click Upload Tier 2 COI Invoice and choose the file.

That's all you need to do — the invoice is sent onward automatically.

✅ Completed State

Once the file is uploaded, the banner turns green and reads Tier 2 COI Invoice Uploaded, showing the file name. The invoice is sent to Sunrise automatically (this can take a few minutes) and attached to the Upload Certificate of Insurance task in Sunrise. It does not complete that task — operations still completes it once the actual COI is received.
