πŸ“ Overview

The Consumption tab captures the customer's energy usage and utility rates. These numbers drive the system offset and the projected savings, so getting them right is key to an accurate proposal.

πŸ’‘ What You Can Do

πŸ”— Pull From Aurora

Use Aurora Consumption Profile (and the linked Aurora Project) to import the customer's usage profile from Aurora instead of entering it by hand.

⚑ Utility Information

Choose the Utility and its Metering Policy (how the utility credits solar export, e.g. Buy All Sell All), then set the Retail Rate and Wholesale Rate ($/kWh) and the annual Utility Inflation. When the home uses gas, the gas rate, base rate, and furnace efficiency fields appear too.

🏠 Home Information

Record the home's Square Footage (and where that figure came from), the Consumption Curve that shapes monthly usage (e.g. Summer Peak), and whether the home has gas heat or a gas water heater.

πŸ“… Current Electricity Consumption

Enter usage with the Method selector β€” as a single Average Bill / yearly total, or as month-by-month kWh (January–December) for a precise profile.

πŸ“ˆ Usage & Bill Charts

The charts on the right visualize the inputs: the average monthly bill projected over 25 years (driven by utility inflation) and a monthly consumption chart comparing the customer's usage against what the proposed system produces.
