Who this is for: Anyone requesting a subcontractor Purchase Order, and the accounting reviewers who approve them and generate the PO in NetSuite.
The whole flow: submit the work order → reviewer picks the exact NetSuite vendor and approves → a PO is generated in NetSuite → the row shows the PO number. If auto-generation fails, the reviewer reconciles a hand-created PO.

At a glance
- Forms tab → New Work Order. Fill in project, vendor, scope, and quote.
- Submit → it lands in Work Orders → New.
- A reviewer opens it, picks the exact NetSuite vendor, sets the PO dimensions, and clicks Approve & Generate PO.
- The row moves to Approved (PO), showing “PO pending” until NetSuite returns a number — then it becomes a green PO link.
- If the automatic PO fails, the reviewer uses Record the PO # to reconcile a PO they created by hand.
Step 1 — Submit the work order
From the Forms tab, click + New Work Order. Any signed-in user can submit. Fields marked \* are required.
- Requestor — name, role, email.
- Project — Project ID (Sunrise / NetSuite), optional name/address, region, class.
- Vendor & Scope — Vendor name, contact info, Work class, Category, Quote amount, and the Scope of work. Optionally attach the quote.

A completed New Work Order.
The vendor name you type here is just a label. The reviewer maps it to the real NetSuite vendor at approval (Step 3) — so a rough name like “EquipmentShare” is fine.
